I had one of the best weekends ever, in a long time. I went for the F1 Rocks concert on Sat night. And who performed? Black Eyed Peas (BEP) and ..........BEYONCE! I was so excited when I found out she was performing here and managed to convince Maya to come along with me. Tickets were a bit steep, $200 but I didn't care cos it's Beyonce. I worship her. LOL!

One week prior to her peformance, I kept going on and on about how hot she was to my classes. And watching her on the VMAs did not help cos her performance of Single Ladies was just mind blowing. And I kept singing in class, and getting all excited. In one of my class, the boys told me they dont think she is hot. Im like...Are you guys freaking insane? Or do you bat for the other team? LOL! They were like...Ms Khai, you are crazy! Hahahahahaha

And she did not disappoint on Sat night. When I reached Fort Canning at about 8-ish, there was a really cool dj spinning, DJ Haviana Brown from Australia, this hot blonde chick who was in some swimming costume glitter outfit and she was spinning some pretty cool old school hip hop plus some newer ones. Then at 9pm, BEP came on. They played their hit singles like Pump It, Dont Phunk with my heart, Where is the Love, and of course, Boom Boom Pow. Fergie is hot, she wore some skimpy black leather outfit, and she looks and sounds good. Her voice was surprising strong. No cracks at all. Was jumping and dancing and screaming like a lunatic. I was so bloody wet from my own sweat. Think we lost 1 kg worth of water weight from the sweating.

And then we had a 2 hr break before Beyonce came on. And we managed to get into the VIP area! Cos Maya's aunt, who's a broadcast journalist with CNA wanted to interview us for the concert so we got into the VIP lounge area, snagged some free Haagen Daz ice cream, got interviewed, and was on the live telecast of the 11pm news on CNA. Highly exciting. It's fun being in the spotlight. LOL! But people in the VIP area were seriously dull. They were not even dancing! More like standing around and looking cool. Lynn and I didnt care we were still dancing like like crazy while we ate our ice creams. :)

And then at midnight, Beyonce came on!!! I was so excited!! And she came with such a grand entrance! Bloody divalicious. She was in a gold outfit, with a huge bow on her ass, and man, did she look hot. And then she started singing and the whole crowd, all 10 000 of us went berserk! She is such a performer. She doesnt just sing. She sings, dances, flirts with the audience, talks to us, changes costumes. Think she had 4 or 5 costume changes. And her dancing is just amazing. She sang a lot of her hits, Irreplaceable (She didnt even have to sing the damn song. The crowd was just belting out the song. She was majorly impressed.), Halo, If I were a Boy, Video Call, Dangerously In Love, Nasty Girl, and she also sang some of her old songs with Destiny's Child like Say My Name, Jumpin Jumpin (Maya and I of course went crazy cos thats our club anthem usually just before we go clubbing back in uni) and Bootylicious. And of course...SINGLE LADIES!! The best man. I was hoarse from the screaming, I swear. The crowd was great, a lot of jostling and pushing, and groin pushing (which I was not impressed by), and singing and dancing, and crazy photo taking.

I had the best time. Concert only ended at 130am after which Lynn, Maya and I went for drinks at Starbucks before heading home. Sigh...Beyonce is the bomb. She so needs to do a full length concert here.
