Jay came down from Melbourne to see me and he spent about a week and a half here. We did so many things together. It was really nice to have him come over instead of me flying down to Melbourne and I knew he made the effort just so that he could be around for my birthday. :) We went shopping, brought him to the beach at Sentosa (rather sad, honestly cos it's just gross), took a 3 days 2 nights island getaway where we did nothing but eat, swim, and spa-ed, went to a few clubs and chill out bars (he had a good time) and we ended his stay here by going to Universal Studios in Sentosa.
It was really a lot of fun. We've been doing this long distance thing for almost a year and it's always good to have him around physically. He gave me a surprise on my birthday. He got the restaurant at the resort we were staying at to prepare the dessert platter with the words 'Happy Birthday Khai' spelled on it and when I thought that was it, there was another cake waiting for me in the room too! I was so happy!
And of course. what would the celebrations be without my angels right? My God, they went all out this year. My kids booked a chalet for me, and we had a whole bbq, chalet stayover, before ending off the celebrations with a huge ass bday cake for me. Plus like a gazillion and one other small gifts. They were so thoughtful and put in so much effort to celebrate my bday with a bang.
I think, altogether, I had 4 different bday cakes!! It was crazy!
My favourite part of my bday? To be able to celebrate my bday with people I love. It's just gratifying the things they would do for you, and I think Im truly blessed. :)
And as always, I buy myself a big gift. Since I turn 30, I decided to get for myself another Kate Spade bag! Gorgeousness. Cute and pink. And I also bought me a CK perfume set. Nice. :)
What do I want at 30? I always thought turning 30 would be terrifying but it's not that bad actually. I actually feel much better, and more confident as I get older. And honestly, I feel a lot more attractive as I get older. :)
