My second entry on Greece. This time, it's Mykonos Island. Mykonos is really different from Santorini. Both islands are really breathtakingly scenic, with the blue and white buildings, and sprawling sea and clear blue skies and gorgeous sunsets. Santorini is more views and sceneries whereas Mykonos is where the nightlife is. I loved both islands but if I had to choose one, I actually preferred Mykonos just a teensy bit more cos the night scene there is really alive and the men there...My God...plentiful, tourists and Greeks..LOL!

When we docked at Mykonos, after a 5 hr ferry ride from Athens, we were just so taken in by this small little island. It's much smaller than Santorini but no less beautiful. So we were driven to the hotel, which was stunning, with a crazily beautiful view from where our room was, and we went around the town. Small and quaint but really really quirky. I loved it. :)

In the ferry, waiting to dock!

This was at my room balcony at the hotel. Stunning view. I loved waking up in the morning. :) Where all those cars were was the port.

In the hotel grounds, which was beautiful as well.

Walking around the water edges to get to the town.

Our first meal in Greece. We sat by the sea, with stunning views and had freshly grilled seabass aiwth salad and potatoes and calamari. It was really yum. Costly though. $55 Euros for both me and Kat.

The view from where we had our lunch.

We were in the town area and went crazy taking pictures cos it was our first day there and everything just looked amazing!

One of the bars which we went to at night.

The little zig zag alleys which stored houses and stores and shops and eateries. You just get lost in the maze of alleys, but you just enjoy it cos it's a fab place to get lost in. LOL! Great things to look at, great food to munch on, great scenery, really really helpful Greek men...LOL! Kat and I had a blast. Ok, Kat was more like...'Khai, stop flirting!' LOL!

We had coffee in this Greek cafe. Very very nice.

A very famous picture of Mykonos, can be found in postcards, pictures, paintings, etc. Minus me, of course.

The windmills of Mykonos. Had to climb up some steps to get there.

The views from the where the windmills were. Awesome.

We took this shot like 5 times cos the wind was so strong and kept blowing my dress up. In the end, Kat took my hair clip, and clipped in at the back so that it wouldn't look so obscene. Hahahahahaha.

I loved the furniture they had in the restaurants and cafes there. They were so bloody cute! And each cafe has very different furniture from the other.

Freshly caught squids. It is so damn good.

After walking for about 3hrs in the town, we went for a dip in the hotel pool. The hotel was so beautiful we had to enjoy it as well. :) I wasn't burnt yet here. Hence the nice golden tan. Now, it's more like oven baked.

After the swim, we changed to go out for the night, and sat outside to look at the sunset. This was at about 830pm. Breathtaking.

This picture was taken by this totally hot guy from Cyprus. He was seated at the couch, and he saw me and Kat by the swing, came up to us, and said he would take the photo for us. And he went...'Ok, 1,2,3, Sex!' We were like...'HUH? WTF?' And we started laughing...Hence thats why we looked like we were laughing in the picture. He invited us to sit with him, and we sat and chatted with him before we had to go off. And when we got back from our night outing, I decided to sit by the hotel balcony, to write in my journal and Kat went to sleep. So I was writing and enjoying the scenery and guess who came from behind me? Yup, you guessed right. Mr Cyprus. He was with a group of 5 men (From France, Cyprus, Lebanon. Very very good looking men) and he introduced me to them and said...'Hey guys, this is the girl I was telling you guys about.' LOL! And they were all dressed up to go to the clubs (I told you, Mykonos is like a night scene sort of place. The place is bloody happening at night. Pulsating music, beautiful people). So they asked me to come along, but I was already in my pjs and I didnt want to go out with 6 strange men on my own! So I told them to go ahead and Mr Cyprus (I actually cant remember his name! Im terrible!) actually stayed on with me. And we sat together, he bought me a drink and we just talked and talked and talked till 3am. It was really nice cos he was really handsome (yeah, he was handsome, not cute) and funny and witty and he seemed to really enjoy talking to me. So at 3am, I left for my room and he went...'Do you wanna keep in touch?' And I said no, cos he lives in Cyprus , which is a 15 hr flight away from Spore so no point. But it was a really nice night and very very flattering. :)

The sunset. It was as beautiful as the one in Oia, Santorini.

Mr Cyprus took this picture of me, with my camera. I was just watching the view and didnt know this shot was taken. I like it. :)

The entrance of my hotel.

This was the view when I was writing in my journal. It was one my most at-peace moment. I was just writing, on my own, and taking in the gorgeous sight, with cool wind blowing in my face and my hair, and I was so happy. Probably one of my happiest moments....
The pub Kat and I went to. There, we saw two French guys. Hot. I was full on flirting with one of them. He kept smiling and I just stared and smiled and tossed my hair.LOL! Im terrible. And Kat kept telling me to stop it cos she was so worried they wold come over and said hi. That would have been good, no? Hahahahaha.

The view from my room in the morning when I just woke up.

The couch where I had my bfast with that stunning view.

After a very slow and leisurely bfast, we went to the beach. You cant go to the island without going to the beach.

Went around the shops again and bought some souvenirs back. Mykonos is a lot more expensive than Santorini definitely.

Another beautiful cafe with very cute furniture.

I love these!

The cafe where we had brunch of waffles. $20 bucks for waffles! But I guess when you travel, you dont think about the money you are spending. You just spend. :P In this cafe, the Greek guy whose father owns the place was so damn cute. I remembered his name, Yanni. He looked really young though so I was shocked when he told me he was 30! He kept coming to our table, and flirting and asking very flattering questions and then he asked, 'When are you girls going back?' And I said, 'We are leaving for Santorini this afternoon.' And he told us to cancel the ferry cos he wanted to bring us around that night. That would have been so cool! A real Greek man bringing us around!! But cos our ferry tickets were all booked together with the hotel, we couldn't. :( And he went, 'Ah..What a waste. We would have had fun together.' I just started laughing cos it was so cheesy! But he was too cute. And he started stroking my hair!! And said, 'You have beautiful hair. I love it.' Hahahahaha...I just laughed and let him continue stroking my hair until it got a little uncomfortable and I went, 'Mmm....Thanks. Can I get the bill?' Talk about being forward. But it was really flattering, cos he was a total cutie. :)

The view from the cafe.
So that was Mykonos. Beautiful island, with stunning views, fantastic hotel, great shops, and very very attentive men!
