I've been having a pretty busy 2 weeks that I've barely had time to breathe. Nothing much happening, except for the fact that I went for my first SAFRA run. Went with sis and bro in law to the Esplanade Bridge last Sunday and did the run. It was a lot of fun. We were worried that we wouldn't be able to keep up but we did, and finished at a respectable timing. I did 6km in 35 mins, a personal best. We might be going for the Great Eastern Women 10km run in Nov, we'll see how that one works out.

On the work front, I have been busy taking charge of the school's GCE'N' levels Prelim exams. It's a hell of a lot of work, but kind of makes me more certain of my abilities. Sometimes, I think I don't give myself enough credit for what I am actually capable of. So anyway, this basically means, on top of my exam duties and normal classroom teaching, my Sec 4As looked for me every single day to ask me questions or just for me to be with them when they are doing work. I have been staying late in school for almost everyday for the past 3 weeks. Exhausting but being with my kids make it alright. They tell me the most random stories, which make me roll on the floor laughing. Will miss them after they finish their actual GCE'N' Levels. :) But it has been a trying Term 3. I can't wait for the school break in Sept. I need to recharge badly.

A few more days before I start fasting again. Am looking forward to it, as always. I remember exactly a year ago, when I was in Australia, and was going to start fasting. And it's starting again! Time flies like nobody's business, I swear.

I better get back to my marking. It's insane marking cos of the common tests and prelims but what has got to be done has got to be done. Tata!

3 things happened this weekend.

1. I lost my temper with my class for the first time. Not like ballistic angry, but more disappointed cos they aren't working as hard as they are supposed to. Im getting complaints left, right and center from their subject teachers and one teacher even went to the extent of calling the 'devil reincarnates' and 'malicious'. And she shouted this out at me at 7am, when I just entered the school. Not the best way to start the day. And I got 3 other complaints, and I truly can't fathom why they behave like that cos they work their butts off for me. I mean, they arent completely silent in class, but they listen, and copy notes, and study damn hard for my tests, and are so kind to me. So I got really tired of all the complaints and gave a piece of my mind to them. Thank god I have deposited a lot in the emotional bank, so I used it to my fullest advantage. At the end of the shelling session, some of them msged me, expressing, regret and sorrow and apologised on behalf of the class. Let's hope things will improve. This was on Friday.

2. I went to the gym today and was happily doing a step class, and prancing up and down the step board, and then suddenly my foot slipped and I twisted my ankle. I just stood up and continued stepping. And even did another hour of yoga class. It was only when I reached home that I realised my right ankle was swollen and was hurting like crazy. Im an idiot. But Im still going to school tomorrow despite the limp. My babies are taking their prelims in 7 days.

3. I SPENT $400 AT MPhosis today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My God. I saw this totally cute jumper (super hot) from MPhosis at Takashimaya, but they didnt have it anymore. And then, NorthPoint actually opened an MPhosis outlet! I know! How happening is Northpoint now? And there's Starbucks, and Face Shop, and Thai Express, and Manhattan Fish Market, and Bakerz Inn....Ok, Im digressing. As always. So anyway, I went into the MPhosis just to try on the jumper cos they had it in my size right? And I saw a few other things so I just brought them in as well. And the jumper was stunning, and the salesgirl brought out a belt for me to try it with, and the belt was stunning, so I said I will take both. And she kept bringing me dresses after dresses, after tops, after pants...my God. She is good, that salesgirl. In the end, I bought the jumper (hot, hot, hot), a black dress (low cut v at the back and front. Stunning), a white top, a jersey dress, two belts (1 thick, 1 skinny), a necklace, a bangle, a white tote bag, a pair of slippers and a pair of wedges. Crazy. I spent 2 hrs there!!!! And this was with my sprained ankle ok. Cos it was after gym. Im so bloody broke right now. And I spent another $140 on Sat at Arab St cos I was with mom and sis and we bought our cloth for Hari Raya. As always, it's lace for me. White lace this time, with pink flowers, against off white silk and kain songket for the kain. Yay! So total damage this weekend: $540. Urgh.

Aside from that, this was another quiet weekend. Did a lot of work, but this is going to be a short two weeks cos of National Day and the Prelims and Common Tests are coming, so a little bit of a breather for me. Thank God.

Have a good week people.
