My vacation is almost over. I'm going back to Perth tomorrow. Had a lot of fun in Singapore. Ate a lot. Bummed around. Watched a lot of tv and reruns. Spent a lot of time with my family and friends. Didn't exercise at all. But it was all good. I'll exercise when I come back to Perth. I enjoyed myelf tremendously. I'll miss everyone again but this time round, it will be a much shorter wait before I get to see everyone again. Probably nothing more than 4 months. :)

Hopefully it will be a painless flight. I'll be busy with school on Thursday cos I have lesson. And my friends from Perth are all sms-ing me,awaiting my return. So it's goodbye people in Singapore and hello people in Perth. :)

These are photos taken on Sun when I dinner with my family @ Upper Changi. I had my hair cut and coloured before the dinner. Trimmed two inches off and did dark brown highlights and dark blonde lowlights. Spent 4 whole hrs at the hairdressers cos I haven't done my hair for 7 months. I refuse to cut my hair in Australia cos I don't trust anyone but Kenneth with my hair. That's my hairdresser. Anyway, the photos.

I'll try and update soon. Got another house party on Sat. Looking forward to seeing everyone in Perth!

Feeling a bit shit. Running a temperature and the ulcers in my mouth are making me very heaty. And my back, where the lump is, is killing me. Don't know why. Think cos I haven't been doing my yoga stretches since I came back cos I've been too lazy and busy meeting up with everyone here. Urgh...I am breaking out in cold sweat and popping panadols.

Met up Kathy on Friday for tea. She looks great. Think having a bf is doing her good. And then I met Eli for dinner. He's my vp friend. He stepped down as a vp early this year and teaching in ACS Barker. It was nice seeing him too. We had dinner @ Dome and then went to TCC for coffee and cake. Talked a lot. And...the best part was...HE HELPED ME THINK OF MY THESIS TOPIC!! Yeah!!! I was stressing out cos I have not thought of what to write my thesis on and he gave me some ideas. :) And he is willing to be my participant. So I'm extremely relieved. :)

And today, I met Mark. Not Mark my housemate, but Mark from Schools Division HQ. He looks great too. Doing really well. Got his promotion this year. Again. He's a scholar so he's on the fast track. 3 promotions back to back. It was great seeing him cos he gave me so many updates on happenings in HQ.

I'm going to cut my hair tomorrow and have one last family dinner before I leave for Perth on Wed. Starting to miss everyone in Perth. They've been smsing me, waiting for my return. But Fatima says the weather is cold and dreary.. I can't decide if cold and dreary is better or hot and humid and sweaty is better.

My sisters and I went to JB today. Both of them took leave today and we left the house really early to take the bus down to JB. We had a lot of fun. Had lunch at Kenny Rogers, to my elder's sister's excitement cos she loves Kenny but it's not halal in Singapore so she was so hyped up when she saw Kenny's in JB. Then we shopped at City Plaza, and I managed to get a pair of wedged sandals, 3 tops, 2 hairbands and my compact powder. Everything for only S$50! Dirt cheap. And we also had Baskin Robbins for tea. My elder sister got really agitated cos we went into Mango and she saw this gorgeous colourful gypsy skirt for only S$40, but it was in size 10 and it was too big for her. So she couldn't buy it. Then she saw this beautiful Egyptian-like dress for only S$55, and we were all getting excited cos we both loved it. I tried it on too, then realised there was a hole at the bottom of the dress and she got so pissed. Hahahaha... We're going to check out Mango in Singapore to see if the dress is there.

Going back to Singapore was traumatic. No one wanted to listen to me and my sisters insisted that we had to go back the same way we went. I'm like, no we have to cross the road, but no one wanted to listen. To cut a long story short, we had to rewalk to City Plaza and cross the road before we got to the checkpoint. This was after walking in hot and humid JB towards the immigration. BUT IT WAS WRONG!! And all the Malaysian mats were distrubing us cos..I don't know why they were disturbing us. Think cos my stupid younger sis was wearing a dress and her boobs were ginormous. It was bad. But we finally got back to Singapore after walking for a long time. So now my legs are tired and my ulcers are killing me. Yes, I am having ulcers in my mouth again. After being ulcer-less for half a year when I was in Australia, I come back here for a short holiday and I get the damn ulcers. It's painful. As hell. Urgh...

These photos were taken at Kenny Rogers.

My elder sis.

My younger sis.

A lot of drama ensued before this photo was taken. :)

Few more days before I leave for Perth. And start school. And get back to cold weather again.

Taken from http://www.illustrationsof.com/details/clipart/8992.html

I met Maya for dinner today. Was a pretty impromptu meeting. She had some errands to run, I had some stuff to buy, so we decided to meet up in the city to get our stuff done together. Had a great time, talking about the most random stuff. We were talking about weird names and she was telling me that her aunt, who works as a receptionist in a clinic or something, has to call out names of patients. And some of these names are just....sad. Ok. One of the patient is called... Jai Bin Konek. Konek means penis in Malay. I KNOW!! How hilarious is that? I pity Jai's father. It's so...embarrassing, to say the least. Another name...Low Lian Jiao. Are you guys dying yet? I pity Lan Jiao. I mean, she must have really evil parents. What sort of parents name their children that??? I will die, if it's me. No, actually, I'll just change my name. And I was telling her, one of my distant aunties is called..Cik Pek Pek. Pek pek is vagina in Malay. I KNOW!! How crude is that? I can never call her that. I just call her cik. But we were dying of laughter cos it's so funny how some names are.

Then, we were on the train back, and we were both seated. And there was this lady in front of us. We couldn't decide if she was pregnant or not so I asked Maya if we should give up our seats for her. But she went like..'No! What if she's not pregnant?' I'm like, 'Oookaayyy...' Then she told me her 'I want do die of embarrassment' story. Which is hilarious. To me. And everyone who knows me knows that when I start laughing, I'm unstoppable. So here goes: Maya was on her way to work in the train, and she was wearing a short empire line red polka dot dress. She wore a belt and cinched it around her waist. She felt chic and retro, with her pearl earrings and all. And she rushed for the train, managed to grab the train, and stood, gasping for breath. No seats cos the train was very crowded. Then, out of nowher, the guy seated in front of her woke up, saw her, and asked her, 'Excuse me, would you like the seat?' SHE WAS MORTIFIED COS THE MAN THOUGHT SHE WAS PREGNANT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! At first, she didn't understand why he offered her the seat then she realised that she looked pregnant. Of course she wanted the ground to swallow her cos she was beyond embarrassed. But she maintained her composure and just said, 'No, I'm fine.' OH MY GOD!!!!!!!! If that happened to me, I would cry and not eat for a long time. Of course Maya was upset, and she lamented to everyone about it. But it's ridiculous! Maya's not fat at all! I think the guy was delirious. Maya, I know you are reading this and trust me, you don't look fat. At all. He was delusional. But I thought it was hilarious, after being mortified for her for a few seconds. And I laughed like a maniac.

Anyway, my sisters took leave tomorow and we are going to JB. Cheap food, cheap shopping. And the ringgit's really crappy right now so going to JB is a fantastic idea! Just have to endure the sun and mat Malaysia.

Short entry. Been meeting up my friends and spending timewith my family. And I am eating a lot. Nasi lemak, sambal udang, asam pedas, crabs, fish soup, everything imaginable. I feel heavy. Bleah. But it's fine. Cos I'm going back to Perth soon. And I'm going to start fasting in a month's time. So it will be fine. I hope. Hahaha.

Anyway. I thought my lessons start on the week of the 27th July. But apparently, it is not. Lessons start this week. Which means I am going to miss my first lesson cos I am only going back this week. Urgh.. Not the best start. But cant do anything about it cos I have called the airlines and there are no more tickets for this week.

Took a few pictures with everyone. Here goes.

@ Clarke Quay with Fatima and Anri. They are in Singapore, visiting.

Yati and Maya @ Manhattan Fish Market. Yati's preggers with her second child!!

Fa and Maya @ Clarke Quay.

Wendy & Angela @ Cedele, Wheelock. Wendy's married now. But she's in denial. She goes," My bf ah.." And I'm like, "Your husband, you mean." And she will go, "No, it's still bf." Don't ask why.

@ Starbucks with Diana.

I'm meeting a few more friends next week. So hopefully I will take pictures too and upload them here. :)

I'm back in Singapore. Landed on Sat morning at 3am. It is hot here. I know, my mom's like- don't be yaya papaya. You were born and bred here and never had issues with the weather. *Rolls eyes*. Sorry! It is hot. When I landed, it was 30 degrees!! In the middle of the morning. And I just left a country which was only 3 degrees. It's not so much the heat, but the humidity. I feel sticky. Perpetually sticky. But I'm not going to spend a whole blog entry on Singapore's weather. Just to establish a point that it's hot here.

I've been back for 2 days. Havent done anything much. I spent the whole Sat with my family. We had lunch @ Manhattan Fish Market. Then we walked around PS for a litle bit, until we decided to go to Botanic Gardens cos it was so bloody crowded. And we ended the day eating ice cream at Swensens.

Have made plans to meet all my friends up during my vacation here. So am looking forward to seeing everyone.

Me @ Botanical Gardens.

I'm happy to be back. :)

I had a house party on Sat night. I haven't seen all my friends in Perth for almost 5 weeks and they were badgering me to have my famous house parties so that we could all gather together and catch up. So we had about 15 people over at my place this time, and it was nice meeting everyone again. And we decided to go clubbing after the party, so a bunch of us dressed up, and we headed to Northbridge, Perth's clubbing district, to spend the night dancing.

Talk about eventful. First, we went to a gay club. So there were women who looked like men, and men who were dancing very gay-ly to ...gay music? And cross dressers, whose balls were so tightly squeezed into spandex that I felt sorry for them. I dont even know how to describe the music. Cross between euro trash-pop-house music. Of course, everyone knows I don't dance to trash like that so I was just watching from the sides while Mark and the rest danced. Like lunatics. Hahaha. And this very gay man kept winking at me, which of course made me very uncomfortable and we left the gay club at midnight cos I was dying.

So we decided to go to another club, and there was a really long line, but Ryan's like..No, we should just get in line cos the music's really good here. So we queued. In the cold. For 45 mins. And it was about 3 degrees that night. And I was wearing a skin tight, knee length, tube dress with heels. Yes, I had a jacket on but it was still freezing! I swear, it was so cold, my nose almost froze. I felt like a human icicle. After 45 mins of painful waiting, n it was our turn to go in, the bouncer said we couldn't go in cos MARK WAS WEARING CARGO PANTS. I was so freaking pissed off. So of course, since Mark couldn't go in, all of us didn't go in as well, and we went to have kebabs. Hahaha. I know, damn random. But I was hungry, and grumpy, so kebab it was. After kebab, we went into a sex shop. I saw the weirdest things there. I will not even describe it but let's say it was an eye opener.

By then it was almost 2 in the morning and we decided to try another club and we managed to get in. And I had a blast. I love dancing and it has been a while since I danced the way I danced that day. 2 straight hours. Non stop. Good music, good company, good crowd. Ryan's a really good dancer so we danced up a storm. We got back at 4am and Rushika and Ryan slept over my place so when we got back to my place, I made tea, and the 4 of us talked till 6 in the morning.

Man, I tell you. Sunday was so painful. We woke up at 11am, had brunch, went to a Sports bar where we had drinks (I had a soft drink. Relax.) and then we went to catch a movie. We watched Hancock. Will Smith's in it. It's pretty good in a ludicrous sort of way. But yeah, by the time I got home, it was only 630pm but I was exhausted cos I've been on the ball for 24 hours, minus 4 hourse of sleep. And I slept at 8pm on Sunday night.

But I had such an awesome weekend. It was so nice seeing everyone again. I can now say I am truly happy. :) Even though I am a bit pissed cos I have lessons from Mon to Fri, 9am-2pm. But I'll deal with it cos Anri and Foiza is doing the same unit as me. At least I have friends.

Ok, as always, me and pictures. Not much though. Just a few.

The house party with my friends.

The rest of the pictures are taken at 5am, after we got back from the club.

That's Ryan, massaging Rushika's legs. She was wearing her new Nine West boots and wanted to die.

Darling Mark.

Ryan. He's from Vietnam. And very pervy. But funny pervy. Not scary pervy.

Rushika and me. Love the dress? That's Fatima's dress. She couldn't fit into it anymore so she gave it to me. It is so gorgeous. Only drawback? Tight as hell. Permanently have to suck in my stomach.

And the whole group. :)

Did I mention that I love being a student? I'll miss this when I go back home.

I am finally back in Perth, after being away for 4 weeks. Spent a week in Melbourne with my family, another 2 weeks with my friends and a week in Sydney. The Sydney trip was such an impromptu trip. I booked the tickets 4 days before I left. Stayed with Anjuli's aunt and uncle. I managed to see a number of things even though I was there for only 6 days. I saw the all famous Sydney Opera House, Sydney Harbour Bridge, Darling Harbour. Also went to the Royal Botanic Gardens and Hyde Park and managed to visit the Contemporary Art Museum, the Syney Aquarium and St Mary's Cathedral. We took a bus down to the renowned Bondi beach, where the waves were ginormous. Did a bit of city shopping. And I actually managed to catch the Sydney Symphonic Orchestra perform at the Syndey Opera House. It was pretty amazing. Did so much walking that my already manly calves look even more manly now. Urgh.. Anyway, took loads of pictures so here they are.

The Syndey Opera House. Breath taking.

Syndey Harbour Bridge.

This was on the night we went to catch the Orchestra played. We got a pretty good price for the tickets, $50. Acoustics were fantastic in the Opera House. Only problem- we were seated behind a bunch of school kids who were making a whole load of noise. I swear, I was ready to kill.

We went to Hyde Park as well. Very beautiful. We walked and ate chocolate chip cookies.

Hyde Park Fountain.

This was the St Mary's Cathedral. Majestic looking, The pictures don't do it justice.

The front of the Cathedral.

Inside the Cathedral.

The Royal Botanical Gardens. Loads of birds. I emphasise. LOADS. I almost died. Did a lot of screaming and running around.

Bats. I thought they were birds, and we were seated on a bench underneath the tree. Until we started walking away and realised they were bats. Of course, I almost died.

Giant cactus plants.

The view from the Botanic Gardens. Stunning.

Bondi beach was amazing. We were lucky cos it was a hot day when we went and there were surfers doing their thing in the waters. View was fabulous. Waves were beyond enormous. People come to Bondi to surf and I can see why. Brings Sentosa Beach and East Coast to shame.

And we went to the Syney Aquarium. It's supposed to be one of the best in the world. And it didn't disappoint. Beautiful. Take a look.
Bottom view of sharks.

Starfish.

Corals.

Miniature version of the Great Barrier Reef.

The shark enclosure. We were pretty close to the sharks.

Massive sting ray.

Octopus.

Sea horse. It's tiny.

Sotong.

Seals. They stink.

So yeah, that's my trip to Sydney. Spent the last 6 days in Melbourne, hanging out with Nad and her family. Her siblings, Maya and Shams, were so nice. They brought me out, watched dvds with me, we hung out together, Shams made his chocolate cake, which was to die for, Maya made cupcakes, Nad's mom cooked so much food. I had such a good time in that last 6 days. Love you guys.

That's me and Maya. She was wearing weird tights.

At a Vietnamese restaurant in the city. Shams and Maya.

Chin Mai and Rushika came to Melbourne during that last week I was there so I met up with them for lunch in the city as well.
Rushika's friend from Sri Lanka, Rushika, me and Chin Mai.

So now, I am back in Perth. I have 5 days of lessons next week, and then I'm off to Singapore. Going to spend the week with my friends in Perth. They are screaming at me cos I've been away for so long and am leaving again.

This has been a very long post. I'm tired. Update again soon.
