I had my final lesson on Thursday. After going through weeks and weeks of classes since March, I finally finished my official classes. Handed in the assignment, had a panel discussion with a bunch of principals and directors during the class and then we ended it all with dinner at Pavarotti, this Italian restaurant which has the cutest guy working there, with my professor and a bunch of my course mates. We had pizzas, pasta, chilli mussels, red n white wine (I had water) and then had apple and custard pie for dessert. Yum.

The classes I've gone through have been really fun. Learnt a lot. Got a lot more confident with what I can do. Laughed a lot. Made many good friends. Established a lot of contacts and most importantly, it was nice being a student instead of the responsible teacher all the time. :)

Half the class for Educational Leadrship. That's my professor at the head of the table. Dr Simon Clarke. He's my supervisor for my mini thesis as well. Funny, nice, and very articulate English man. Love him. :)

Went to Freemantle with Anri, Mark, Rushika and Ryan on Sunday. Since I'm going home really soon, I'm trying to see all the places in Perth which I really like once more. So this weekend it was Freemantle. We ate fish and chips at Cicerellos, then went to the Freemantle market and shopped (I bought a hand made soap. Haven't used it yet. Smells yum tho.) and then went to a bar with this guy playing acoustic guitar and singing his heart out. Then went home, yakked on the phone for 2 hrs, n then took a nap for another 2 hrs. I KNOW! I M SUCH A SLACK ASS! Hee... I'm enjoying it while it lasts. Going back to reality soon.

Waiting for the bus. It was so hot just now. I got even more tanned than I already am from the sun at the beach last weekend!

Ryan, my baby. We were really bored. Half an hr of waiting for the bus. Can drive anyone crazy.

Need to get my final paper done. Have a good week everyone.

I went to the beach during the weekend. The weather was sunny and cool, 26 degrees so we packed our towel, sunscreen, bikinis, mat, water, and food and took the bus to Cottlesloe beach. I've been there before but it was like half a year ago, so since I was going home soon, and the beaches in Singapore are sad, I really wanted to see the beach again.

It was beautiful there. We froze our asses off in the water but once we got used to the cold sea water, Rushika and I spent a good hour baking in the sun and frolicking in the water. The waves were ginormous! Then we continued baking ourselves, at least Mark and I did cos Rushika and Anri hate getting brown.

Only irritating part? There was a bunch of guys, prob from India, standing by the beach, and they were taking photos of us using the camera phones when we were in the water. Very irritating. So we tried to submerge ourselves in the water as much as possible, altho this wasn't a difficult feat given the fact that the waves kept submerging me in the water anyway.

So yeah, despite the pervs, and sand in my bikini (very irritating and cos I didn't bother changing out of my bikini when we were going home, I kept slipping my hand under my shirt to remove the sand so much so that Rushika had to tell me to stop cos I was attracting unwated attention. Hahaha), I had a lot of fun. Then we had dinner at Nandos, and I went back and showered and watched Pretty Woman. Very nice. :)

So here are the pictures of the beach.

Before going into the water.

Yes, yes..there are some shots of me in a bikini. Kin, tell mom dont kill me when I come home ok? :)

Dearest Mark.

While waiting for the bus home.

So today I'm going to meet Ryan and we are all going to have dim sum for brunch. Looking forward to that. 4 weeks and a little bit more before I come home. :)

After slogging my whole weekend away, I finally completed my 4000 word paper and I am almost done with my major paper! I've hit the 10,000 word mark. It was a painful way to spend the weekend but at least I can breathe easy now. The whole week I spent in the library and cooped in my room and on Sun, I did nothing but churn out words after words for 5 straight hours. Needless to say, I was ready to collapse at the end of Sun. Well, at least it's done.

So today, I met Rushika for lunch and we decided to have a picnic by the Swan River. I cooked and cut up some pears n oranges and she brought dessert, doughnuts and gross butter biscuits which were smelly. So we sat on the grass and had our lunch by the river and talked. Then I started showing her some yoga poses and we started taking pictures of us in those poses. So the lunch became a 2 hr lunch. But it was nice to have it out cos the weather is really sunny but cool.

Some of my yoga poses. The back bend. Im not doing a good job here. My legs n head should be closer together.

This one is good for the back. Don't remember what it's called.

Shoulder stand. Good for abs, butt n legs.

My favourite pose, cos it stretches all part of the body.

Then we got tired and we had a doughnut. Shared a doughnut. Literally. Hahahaha... Stupid.

This is how long my hair is now. It's really healthy here. I don't drop as much hair as I used to in Singapore. Maybe it's the weather. Maybe it's the water. Maybe it's less stress.

I'm going to miss all these when I come home. And I'm coming home really soon. About 6 weeks more.

I went to the Pinnacles last Sunday with the girls. We left at 8am and had a 4hr drive before we reached the Pinnacles. What was there? Nothing much. Desert area with natural rock formations. Many rock formations. It was hot and windy that day. We packed a picnic lunch, some fruits and nuts and took a whole load of pictures. Great company, quite a nice place. But it's the kind of place you would go only once cos honestly speaking, after seeing 10 rocks, the other rocks all look the same to me. But I guess since I'm already in Perth, I might as well see it at least once. So here are the Pinnacles pictures.. :)

At the entrance.

The landscape from the entrance.

Then the cam whoring started.

We stopped by the beach for lunch.

The view from the ride.

Journey back. Exhausting.

I am going to have a quiet weekend this week. Im at the 3000-word mark for my 4000-word paper and at the 7000-word mark for my 10,000-word major paper. I should finish both by end of this week, or at least the former. If not, it's back to the torture chambers for me.

After being in Perth for almost a year, I finally took the ferry to South Perth. So Rushika and I met up at 1130am and we took a bus to the city, then took the 1245pm ferry. It was really nice. Had chilli mussels, herb bread and spaghetti marinara with Rushika for lunch, then spent some time taking pictures by the ferry pier and the nearby river. I can't believe it took me this long to come here.

At the restaurant.

The view from the pier.

While waiting for the ferry to come to bring us to the city again.

Took many shots before we got the jump right.

In the ferry. Reminded me of the ferry when we go to Batam or Bintan. But way cheaper..I used my Smart Rider, something like the Ezlink card. 53 cents. Dirt cheap. And nice.

Then the spaz-ness begins...

We stopped at Swan Bells after that and took more photos cos Rushika hasn't taken pictures there before and that's like a Perth landmark.

Ended th day shopping in the city and having cake and tea at a cafe. Had a really fun day. Simple but fun. And I'm going to the Pinnacles tomorrow with a bunch of my friends. It's a 1 day road trip, where we'll stop at a few places before reaching the Pinnacles. So more pictures then!
