Urgh...More than a month since updating..So sorry. It's the start of the term which basically means it's mayhem in school. And Term 3 is always the busiest term, tho I still hate Term 1 most cos of the 101 things you have to do, and the fact that you just finished a 2 mths holiday...So yeah...

Today, my blog entry is going to be on something shallow: Fashion. LOL! Anyone who knows me knows that I love love love dressing up. When I go to school, I dress up. When I go out with my friends or family, I dress up. When I am going to the shops nearby, I have to be decently dressed. No shabby pyjamas for me, uh uh. When I go to the gym, I dress up. Even when I am at the gym, my gym attire is very dressy. lol! I don't wear a dress at the gym, but my sports gear is very stylo mylo. lol!!

I was never a fashion person in school. More like ultimate nerd alert. Super long skirt, over sized blouse and geeky socks. Same goes for my 'going-out' clothes. I have once worn green socks with orange polka dots. Worn with denim loafers. And a denim skirt. God, I cringe just thinking about it. The worst part was that I thought I was 'oh so cool'. I remembered walking in that get-up and people looking at me and I was like 'Uh huh. Totally cool eh?' Now thinking back, they were probably looking at my crazy outfit and thinking, 'What was she thinking?' But hey, that was in the 90s and I am pretty sure everyone has made at least one fashion boo boos in their lifetime. Shoulder pads, tie dye, faded Giordano jeans, sweaters worn backwards, green and blue eyeshadow?? So don't you go laughing at me...:)

As I grew older, my fashion sense evolved. I went through a stage where everything had to be tight, short and sleeveless. Or backless. lol! That was my uni days when I was a stick and being sexy at 21 was just the way it is. I remembered going clubbing in this Mango UK Size 34 jeans (I am usually a 36, so I had to literally squeeze into the jeans) which was obviously too damn tight for me, and a backless top. God, I was such a skank then! Horrible horrible horrible. Thank God I do not have photos of me in those outfits, heaven forbid. Or at least it's not in digital form cos that era was still the 'click, and send it for printing' time.

Then, I started work and I decided to be a little more grown up and started wearing clothes which made me look 50, though I was only 23 or 24 then. I had this crocheted cropped cardi which I used to wear with a black frumpy knee length skirt with esparadilles. It was so ugly! It actually resembles a table cloth!! I used to wear it all the time, and I will bun my hair, thinking that I would look professional. Urgh!!!!!!!!! If not, my other favourite outfit was this super professional beige skirt and a white shirt from G2000 which made me look like a secretary. I remembered going for one of my promotion ceremonies wearing this exact get-up and I have evidence of this which I refuse to put up!

And then I went to study and that was when I started dressing up my age. 28 at that point in time. I loved staying in a country with seasons. The jackets, the boots, the scarves, the cardis....

Now, at 32, I like to think of my dress sense as being at its best. I think I am more confident in my own skin, and I dress appropriately for my age. Not fuddy duddy but not hootchie mama as well. I love wearing colors, I like oddly shaped or tailored pants, basically clothes which reflect my personality. Fun and quirky but with a tinge of seriousness to it.:) I can feel my fasion sense evolving again. I am having a shoe fetish now for some reason. I have never been a shoe person, especially expensive ones. But I have just bought almost $600 worth of shoes. 4 pairs. Here they are.

Gorgeous 3.7 inches shimmery maroon heels from Vince Camuto.

Lazy Gaga- like black suede 5 inches wedges also from Vince Camuto
5 inches stilettos from the Jessica Simpson collection. I love love love this!

And nude heels, also from Jessica Simpson's collection.

Ok, I shall stop here. I don't want to get started on the thousand and one things I bought from HnM and the last flea market I went to. Hopefully the next time I blog I will have pictures of myself in my new outfits and shoes!
