It has been a month since I blogged. Work has been overwhelming me and I am too exhausted to blog after work or over the weekend. The holidays have started and I have been either at meetings, conferences, courses or lessons. I am EXHAUSTED. But tomorrow is the final day of busy-ness in school and then I'm off for my holidays. I'm going to Australia this time. Been a while since I've been back there, 2 years to be exact. I used to go over so very often since I came back, as often as 3 times a year that I decided to have a temporary stop to my Australian holidays and go elsewhere. But this year, since I got myself a car, I wanted to save a little and of course, meet up old friends and be in familiar surroundings doing nothing but vege out in nice weather with great company. So I bought myself a ticket to Melbourne and Perth in February, and that was that. No need for accommodation as I would be staying with friends, no need for an itinerary as I do nothing but vege out and eat and shop when Im in Australia most of the time anyway. I'm going to see Nad and Ryan in Melbourne and I am looking forward to hanging out with Nad and her siblings (they are hilarious), eating good food (the last time I was there, I went for 3 degustations. I almost died eating.), have scones and tea at this quaint cottage near Nad's place, go for drives with her, eating pancakes, go to St Kildas, Brunswick St, eat churros in the city, eat Italian food in Lygon St, try out new restaurants (she made reservations for Papa Goose..supposed to be really good!), watch dvds at her place, jog in the park round the corner from where she stays and basically hang out and do nothing. And Ryan is in Melbourne too so we will be meeting up as well.

Perth is second home to me so I am going to go to some of my favourite places. Freemantle, Swan River, Dim sum eating, shopping at Harbour Front and the city, meeting up Rushi, Sharri, Mark and Hannah. Oh, and I found a hot yoga studio in Perth so I will still be exercising when I am there! I am so happy happy happy!

I am just looking forward to a stress-free holiday where I don't have to worry about what to do the next day, and figuring out train lines or bus schedules or reading maps..which is usually what happens when I take holidays. 2012 has not been kind work wise for me. Constant stress, countless meetings, major responsibilities...It's time for me to wind down before the grind starts again in Semester 2. And I am happy that when I come back, I still have another week of doing nothing and I am looking forward to just meeting up friends, exercising, waking up late and lazing around, shopping, going for massages.....Sigh....can't wait.
