One of my closest friend got married today, Wendy. This is the main reason why I came back from Perth so much earlier than what was expected. I didn't want to miss her wedding, and I am glad I didn't. :) I was one of her bridesmaid, so as per Chinese custom, the bridesmaids had to be at the bride's place by 6.30am to help her for the day. So before the groom and his best men went into the house, the bridesmaids, or sisters as they call it, had to make them perform a few stunts before the groom was able to get his bride. So we made them do a few silly things. We made them belly dance to hips don't lie by Shakira together with the belly dancing belts and all, made the groom sing a song, which was quite deafening cos the groom could not sing for his life (It was hilarious), the groom and his best men had to wax their legs and finally, drank some gross concoction of orange juice, soya sauce, vinegar, wasabe and pepper. It was a lot of fun. And the dinner was held at a very nice country club. I met up all my old colleagues from my school and it was really great to see everyone again. I'm looking forward to working with them again.:)

But it was a sweet wedding. I felt a little nostalgic, seeing one of my closest friends get married off, and I started crying when she was doing her prayers at the altar with her husband. But I'm like that. When all my closest friends got married, I cried. I know. I am so lame. But I'm happy for Wendy cos she is starting a new life with her husband, who is a really great person. So Wendy, congratulations on your marriage and enjoy married life! Love you heaps!
