I am finally back in Perth, after being away for 4 weeks. Spent a week in Melbourne with my family, another 2 weeks with my friends and a week in Sydney. The Sydney trip was such an impromptu trip. I booked the tickets 4 days before I left. Stayed with Anjuli's aunt and uncle. I managed to see a number of things even though I was there for only 6 days. I saw the all famous Sydney Opera House, Sydney Harbour Bridge, Darling Harbour. Also went to the Royal Botanic Gardens and Hyde Park and managed to visit the Contemporary Art Museum, the Syney Aquarium and St Mary's Cathedral. We took a bus down to the renowned Bondi beach, where the waves were ginormous. Did a bit of city shopping. And I actually managed to catch the Sydney Symphonic Orchestra perform at the Syndey Opera House. It was pretty amazing. Did so much walking that my already manly calves look even more manly now. Urgh.. Anyway, took loads of pictures so here they are.

The Syndey Opera House. Breath taking.

Syndey Harbour Bridge.

This was on the night we went to catch the Orchestra played. We got a pretty good price for the tickets, $50. Acoustics were fantastic in the Opera House. Only problem- we were seated behind a bunch of school kids who were making a whole load of noise. I swear, I was ready to kill.

We went to Hyde Park as well. Very beautiful. We walked and ate chocolate chip cookies.

Hyde Park Fountain.

This was the St Mary's Cathedral. Majestic looking, The pictures don't do it justice.

The front of the Cathedral.

Inside the Cathedral.

The Royal Botanical Gardens. Loads of birds. I emphasise. LOADS. I almost died. Did a lot of screaming and running around.

Bats. I thought they were birds, and we were seated on a bench underneath the tree. Until we started walking away and realised they were bats. Of course, I almost died.

Giant cactus plants.

The view from the Botanic Gardens. Stunning.

Bondi beach was amazing. We were lucky cos it was a hot day when we went and there were surfers doing their thing in the waters. View was fabulous. Waves were beyond enormous. People come to Bondi to surf and I can see why. Brings Sentosa Beach and East Coast to shame.

And we went to the Syney Aquarium. It's supposed to be one of the best in the world. And it didn't disappoint. Beautiful. Take a look.
Bottom view of sharks.

Starfish.

Corals.

Miniature version of the Great Barrier Reef.

The shark enclosure. We were pretty close to the sharks.

Massive sting ray.

Octopus.

Sea horse. It's tiny.

Sotong.

Seals. They stink.

So yeah, that's my trip to Sydney. Spent the last 6 days in Melbourne, hanging out with Nad and her family. Her siblings, Maya and Shams, were so nice. They brought me out, watched dvds with me, we hung out together, Shams made his chocolate cake, which was to die for, Maya made cupcakes, Nad's mom cooked so much food. I had such a good time in that last 6 days. Love you guys.

That's me and Maya. She was wearing weird tights.

At a Vietnamese restaurant in the city. Shams and Maya.

Chin Mai and Rushika came to Melbourne during that last week I was there so I met up with them for lunch in the city as well.
Rushika's friend from Sri Lanka, Rushika, me and Chin Mai.

So now, I am back in Perth. I have 5 days of lessons next week, and then I'm off to Singapore. Going to spend the week with my friends in Perth. They are screaming at me cos I've been away for so long and am leaving again.

This has been a very long post. I'm tired. Update again soon.
